The most ubiquitous of all Georgian jewels; the lace or fichu pin was worn throughout society.

This little buckle design set with flat topped pinky Almandine Garnets is a very sweet trinket which would likely have been given as a gift, worn to fasten (ficher) the kerchief worn around the shoulders. 

It is mounted in Gold and measures 2cm across.
