Offered here a rib knit long sleeve top from Japanese designer JUNYA WATANABE, who works under the umbrella of COMME DES GARCONS. This top was produced as part of his seminal AW 2006 collection, which had a strong focus on patchwork and reconstructed garments. This longsleeve is no exception, made up of a series of horizontal panels of the same wool / cotton rib overlocked together, with the overlocking shown on the outside. Perhaps even more interesting is the extra rib fabric added into the right underarm and shoulder, which creates a bulbous asymmetry at the top of the garment which gathers oddly around the body when worn.

Composition: 50% wool / 50% cotton. 
Condition: Good vintage condition, with minor wear.
